Easy to use
Like all Seattle Avionics products, form and function go hand in hand; Literally, in this case. We found that while there are plenty of E6B calculators on the market, the Pocket PC versions tend to use the clunky on-screen keyboard and tiny little icons that only a toddler could press without a stylus. As most of us don't fly with a stylus in one hand and the yoke in the other, we thought there had to be a better way so we wrote
FlightCalc from the ground up with big fingers in mind. For example, when using one of the timers, just tap the time anywhere and it toggles the timer between start and stop.
FlightCalc is super-simple to use. Simply pick what you want to calculate (True Airspeed, for instance) and
FlightCalc shows you the different ways to compute it. Pick the one that uses the variables you've already calculated. When you're done with one calculation, simply select the next step in the chain and
FlightCalc automatically remembers the results of previous calculations and fills-in the data for you so there's no need to write down intermediate calculations.
